IP44.de is a young, progressive and conservative company at the same time. We are conservative when it comes to our quality standards and manufacturing details. Our technologies, on the other hand, are extremely progressive. And our story? Just starting. It all started with a clear and obvious question: why should outdoor luminaires not be at least as aesthetic as the ones we all appreciate indoors? With this question, we designed our very first outdoor lamp over 25 years ago. And because our approach appealed to many builders, planners and architects, countless other lamps, materials, technologies, tests, errors and successes followed. The IP44.de company was born out of a cautious effort - founded and managed by Bernd Schmalhorst ever since. Our focus on high-quality design and our basic belief have remained the same: every place deserves a lot of light.
